Cruise Preface

On a Cruise High

it's Tues, 2 April, 3pm, and i'm sitting in the airport at Guayaquil, Ecuador, where i will remain until my flight to Quito, Ecuador at 10pm.      .... i won't get to Kzoo until Wed at 4pm.

so, i'm going to start working on my Cruise Blog.   our days were so packed full of activities that it was impossible to do any blogging; .... and after 7pm dinner, i was just too 'spent'   :)

some thoughts:
--it will be strange going back to the first days of the Cruise, knowing how all the rest of the days progressed; ...
--it will be difficult to separate early thoughts and feelings from those at the end; ...
--it will be impossible not to include commentary that i didn't know at the time .....
--it will be a wonderful reminder for me of the incredible experience the Cruise turned out to be.

in short, it receives a rating of:   Far Exceeds Expectations.    i hope i will be able to convey the excitement.

in my opinion, a Cruise is a 'must' in order to fully experience and understand the Galapagos.   i know some feel they can do it through 'Day Tours' .... i did both, and i disagree.   of course, it makes a difference who is on your boat and who your Guide is ...that is key  :)     ...i was fortunate to hit the 'jackpot' on both.

here's a photo of our group and Washington, taken the last full day
