i heard it raining last night and it poured for awhile this morning  too... yes, this is 'our' cold front  :(   ....

but it cleared up in the afternoon and i decided to see if i could find Paco, the guy i might have been sharing an apartment with.   i followed his directions, 70 steps to the left,  etc ...it was exact :)   ...and he was home ... with his wonderful 8yr old Chocolate Lab, Tulum.    she is a sweetie ... it would have been nice to live there  :(   ....i spent the rest of the afternoon visiting with him, sharing our life histories.  he is an amazing person, i'm glad i got to know him better.

i got home and cleaned up and went to the theater ... The Wolf of Wall Street ... i knew nothing of this movie, other than it was nominated for Academy Awards ... so i wasn't prepared for it ... nor the fact that it was 3 hours long !    ... i guess i didn't like it that much ... although i did enjoy the part where he was partially paralyzed due to his overdose of qualudes  ... that part was funny  :)     the rest was just too excessive, swearing, sex, drugs ....although when i got home i googled it, and it's a true story ... so maybe the excess was realistic.   ...kind of reminded me of Pulp Fiction (so over-the-top it's hard to believe it's true)  ... i am still a bit naive and it's hard to imagine that people really do live lives like that ... honestly, i'm glad it isn't my life !     .... or at least, i'd spend my money a lot differently than he did ...  :)
