HALF MOON BAY SNORKEL

i asked for the day off today so i could go diving with Patricia and Ron .... i didn't realize that they did their last dive yesterday, since they are getting ready to return to Montreal.   :(     ....so Patricia and i decided to do a snorkel instead ...  they are staying right by the SubMarine Dock, so we started out there again ...

i really like this spot ... it is a small area, but there is always so much to see there ...
another ScorpionFish and several Lobsters
the Octopus was there again ... same place ...
Dusky SquirrelFish
SquirrelFish
Red Lip Blenny

this seemed to be a day of seeing juvenile fishes that i'd never seen before .... this Juvenile Banded ButterFly Fish has 2 spots on it's fin and tail that are not present in the adult fish ...

and this Juvenile 4-Eye ButterFly Fish has an extra 'spot' that is not present in the adult ...

the Baby SharpTail Eel looks just like it's adult ... only smaller ...
a Baby SharpTail Eel ...
Blue Head Wrasse
this crab was hanging out under this ledge with the Green Moray Eel ...
Batwing Crab
Moray Eel, 2 Banded Coral Shrimp in top of photo ... and part of a LionFish

it was a fun afternoon of snorkeling with Patricia ... i will miss her and Ron  :(

and Angie will be leaving here next week,  ... (everyone is leaving)  :(   ....so she had a 'going away' party at her condo tonight.    ... i found some cilantro at one of the veggie stands, so i made guacamole :) ...it was a nice party and i re-met some of the girls i had met at the Music Festival.

one of the girls, Katie, invited me to go snorkeling at Sandy Bay with her tomorrow. i was telling her that i can't help but feel that the many inexperienced cruise ship snorkelers has really taken it's toll on the reef.    .... she said that the reef at Sandy Bay doesn't get so much activity and it is in better condition.... i am excited about going there tomorrow with her ... she lives here part time .... i have met several people who are living here part time and working remotely .... what a great way to live ! ...they have all found their 'niche' and a way to make money and still live in paradise during the winter.

my 'day-off' was a fun filled day  :)
